ABSTRACT:
An analysis of the reconstruction of Italy and Germany as a prototype for the development of
current developing countries. A lot can be learnt from these two countries with respect to the
manner of their system of governance, education, the role of the manufacturing sector as well as
the importance assigned to social inclusion after the World War II. The countries that developed
after WW II did so under different circumstances and different world conditions. But the
importance of this paper is to take lessons from their development path and apply as far as
possible for developing nations today. The external circumstances have changed but the internal
emphasis on education, social inclusion, promotion of the manufacturing sector and effective
governance still hold true.
