Abstract: In 21st century the education sector is faced with some management challenges which are leading
to adverse attainment of its goals. The foregoing had necessitated this study which aims to
investigate management challenges facing private middle level colleges and its repercussions for
educational goals in Eldoret, Kenya. There is clear evidence that education is a key factor to the
growth in development and hence private middle level colleges come in to proffer such prospects
to students who don't attend universities due to lack of fees required or failure of meeting entry
points. This study was guided by Scientific Management theory and it employed a questionnaire
to collect primary data from the respondents whereby the target population was 60 finance,
human resource and management staff of these institutions. It adopted census survey and the data
was analyzed and processed with the aid of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences software.
