Abstract:
Nander who's former name was Nau Nand Dehra. In the ancient period the nine saints use to stay here, so this place was recognized as per their name. One of the writer of the book ''Perplus of the erythrean sea ''he investigated that once upon a time there was a city named "Tagar" located over here and it was a capital one time. Guru Gobind Singh reached Nander in the month of sawan, 1707 AD with him 300 soldiers in the army. Guru Gobind Singh reached the cottage of Madho Dass whose name was Lachman Dass in his childhood. He was born to Ram Dev Rajput who was native of Rajouri which is situated in the Himalayan state of Punch and his occupation was agriculture. Lachman Dass could not get education.
