Abstract:
The main objective of the current paper was to analyse the determinants of pregnancy related complications among working and non-working women in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. Moreover, the total sample size of the current research was six hundred married women, and it was equally distributed between working and non-working categories. Multi-stage random sampling method had been adopted to collect the required number of samples. In the current paper, specific attention had been given with regard to the working status of the respondents. In fact the researcher intended to analyse the differences, if any, between working and non-working categories of respondents, with respect to the pregnancy related complications in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. Percentage Distributions, Chi-square tests and Binary Logistic Regression Analyses were utilised for realising the objective of the research. The analyses show that variations were evident between working and non-working categories of respondents with respect to the pregnancy related complications in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu.
