Abstract: The research paper presents the growing issues pertaining to increasing in water demand, also
identifies the association between the income of the people and the amount of bill they are
paying. Different price slabs which can control the excess usage of water. The researcher also
finds out that technology can control the loss of water; also change in behaviour can control the
excess usage of water. Water conservation can resolve the issues related to scarcity of water at
the household level, the reasons for scarcity is excess consumption of water, non-adoption of
technology etc. The issue with increasing water demand at households can be addressed by
behavioural level.
