ABSTRACT: This paper seeks to understand the effects of Decoupling from China on the Indian economy and
seeks to look for ways to minimize the negative effects of decoupling on our supply and
availability of certain necessary imports by looking for suitable alternative countries which can
replace China as vendors. This has been done so by taking India’s top 10 trading partners along
with 3 additional nations and using multivariate analysis. In the end, after finding out the
alternative nations, we shall conclude as to how India should engage with these alternative
countries.
