ABSTRACT:
This study aims to investigate the factors affecting work engagement of employee in small and medium enterprises in Vietnam. Through the analysis of previous studies, combined with the actual conditions in Vietnam, the author proposes 6 factors in the research model, including: job satisfaction, satisfaction with relationships in the organization, satisfaction with the working environment, satisfaction with leadership, satisfaction with salary and bonus, and satisfaction with training and advancement opportunities. To achieve the research objectives, the author conducted a survey of 500 employees at small and medium enterprises, resulting in 405 valid responses for analysis. The data were cleaned and analyzed using Smart PLS 4 software. The research results showed that 5 out of 6 factors affecting work engagement, in descending order as follows: Satisfaction with relationships within the organization, Satisfaction with training and advancement opportunities, Satisfaction with salary and bonus, Job satisfaction, and finally Satisfaction with the working environment. Satisfaction with leadership was not found to have a relationship with employee work engagement. The study proposed solutions to enhance employee engagement in small and medium enterprises in Vietnam.
